Can external training vendors be managed in the same system as internal instructors?

Yes. Trainery supports both internal instructors and external vendors in a unified Instructor Management module. External instructors access their own scoped Instructor Portal without being given admin-level access to your organization's broader platform data.

How does the system prevent an instructor from being double-booked?

The Scheduler checks instructor availability in real time against existing session assignments. If an administrator attempts to assign an instructor to a session that overlaps with an existing commitment, the system flags the conflict immediately before any confirmation is sent to the instructor or learners.

Can instructors see their own performance ratings and learner feedback?

Yes. Instructors have visibility into their session-level feedback and aggregate performance ratings through the Instructor Portal. This data helps instructors improve their delivery over time without requiring administrators to manually share feedback reports after each session.

Is instructor cost tracked alongside session scheduling?

Yes. When combined with TraineryTMS cost tracking, instructor fees can be logged against session records. This enables accurate cost-per-session calculations that include all contributing costs: instructor time, venue, materials, and any external vendor fees.

Can qualifications required to teach specific courses be enforced automatically?

Yes. Instructor profiles include qualification and certification mappings. Administrators can configure courses or session types to only be assignable to instructors who hold the required credentials. The system will not allow assignment of an unqualified instructor to a restricted session.

How does Instructor Management connect to the Instructor Portal?

Instructor Management is the administrative layer where coordinators assign, manage, and evaluate instructors. The Instructor Portal is the instructor-facing workspace where trainers see their upcoming sessions, access materials, mark attendance, and submit feedback. The two are connected: what an admin configures in management surfaces immediately in the portal.

Can the system generate reports on instructor utilization across programs?

Yes. Instructor utilization reports show how many sessions each instructor has delivered, their capacity vs. actual usage, average learner ratings per instructor, and cost contributions per session. These reports are available in the Trainery analytics dashboard and can be exported for L&D program reviews.
