End-to-End Training Operations Management

Manage every aspect of your training ecosystem from a single platform, learning plans, role-based requirements, instructor-led sessions, scheduling, locations, and analytics. Gain complete visibility, streamline operations, and ensure every employee stays aligned with organizational goals and compliance needs.

Learning Plan

View and manage every employee's assigned learning plan in one place. Search by employee, filter by manager or department, and see assigned vs. completed status at a glance. Linked to role and competency requirements.

Learning Matrix

Map training requirements to roles across the organization. Define which courses, programs, and credentials are required, recommended, or optional for each job title, and see compliance coverage in real time.

Locations

Managers receive Slack or Teams alerts not dashboards with specific, actionable signals: "3 team members are struggling with X skill. Recommend this 2-hour path to improve sprint velocity." Managers control adoption, not HR. TrAI puts the right signal in the right place at the right time.

Calendar

A centralized training calendar showing all scheduled sessions, ILT events, and program milestones across the organization. Filter by team, location, or module. Sync with Outlook and Google Calendar.

Scheduler

Automated scheduling engine for ILT sessions match instructor availability, room capacity, and learner enrollment windows. Reduce the manual work of training coordination to near zero.

Work Roles

Define and manage work roles across your organization, linking each role to its required training matrix, credential requirements, and learning plans. The foundation for role-based learning journeys.

Employee Search & Filter

Powerful search across the workforce find any employee's plan status, manager assignment, department, completion record, or credential status instantly. Bulk actions available for L&D admins.

OPS Analytics

Operational reporting built into TraineryOPS, session utilization, location capacity trends, instructor workload, and learning plan completion by department or role. Feeds into the main Analytics dashboard.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is TraineryOPS and why does it come with every subscription?

TraineryOPS is the operational support layer that underpins every Trainery module. It includes Learning Plans, Learning Matrix, ILT management, Locations, Calendar, Scheduler, and Work Roles configuration. Most LMS and TMS vendors charge for these features separately or bundle them into higher tiers. With Trainery, they are included as standard because a learning platform without operational infrastructure is only half a solution.

What is the difference between a Learning Plan and a Learning Matrix in TraineryOPS?

A Learning Plan is an individual-level view showing which training a specific employee has been assigned, what they have completed, and what is still outstanding. A Learning Matrix is an organizational-level framework that defines which training is required, recommended, or optional for each job role. Together, they let you see both what each person needs and how well the organization is meeting its role-based training requirements.

How does the TraineryOPS Scheduler handle conflicts between instructors and rooms?

The Scheduler checks instructor availability, room bookings, and learner eligibility simultaneously when you create a session. If a conflict exists, an instructor already assigned elsewhere, a room already booked, or a learner enrolled in a clashing session - the system flags it before any confirmations are sent. Administrators resolve the conflict in the system rather than discovering it on the day of the training.

Can TraineryOPS support training programs running across multiple office locations?

Yes. The Locations module manages training venues across offices, regions, and external sites from a single view. Room capacities, location-specific calendars, and virtual venues are all managed centrally. Session reports can be filtered by location so regional training managers see only their relevant data.

Does TraineryOPS sync with external calendars like Outlook or Google Calendar?

Yes. The TraineryOPS Calendar syncs with Outlook 365 and Google Calendar so instructors and learners see scheduled sessions in their existing calendar tools without needing to log into Trainery separately. Session invites, reminders, and updates flow through the calendar integration automatically.

How are Work Roles used in TraineryOPS and how do they connect to learning assignments?

Work Roles in TraineryOPS are the bridge between organizational structure and learning requirements. Each Work Role can be mapped to a set of required, recommended, and optional learning programs in the Learning Matrix. When an employee is assigned a Work Role, their learning plan is automatically populated with the relevant requirements, no manual course assignment needed for role-based onboarding or training compliance.

Is TraineryOPS the same as TraineryTMS, or are they separate?

They are related but distinct. TraineryOPS is the foundational operational layer included with every Trainery subscription, covering scheduling, locations, learning plans, and work roles. TraineryTMS is a full module that builds on top of TraineryOPS, adding advanced capabilities like role-based learning journey design, cost-per-session tracking, instructor and vendor management, and performance-adaptive learning plans. Clients who need basic operational support get TraineryOPS. Clients running complex L&D programs get TraineryTMS.

Operational support that other vendors charge extra for included.

Every Trainery learning client gets TraineryOPS automatically. No professional services fee for basic operational setup. No premium tier required. You subscribe to a learning module, you get the ops layer that supports it.
